چکیده

In this we paper we recast the Cox–Ingersoll–Ross model of interest rates into the chaotic representation recently introduced by Hughston and Rafailidis. Beginning with the “squared Gaussian representation” of the CIR model, we find a simple expression for the fundamental random variable X∞. By use of techniques from the theory of infinite dimensional Gaussian integration, we derive an explicit formula for the nth term of the Wiener chaos expansion of the CIR model, for n = 0, 1, 2, . . . . We then derive a new expression for the price of a zero coupon bond which reveals a connection between Gaussian measures and Ricatti differential equations.

de Heston ’ s Stochastic Volatility Model Implementation , Calibration and Some Extensions

To take into account leverage effect, Wiener stochastic processes W1,W2 should be correlated dW1 · dW2 = ρdt. The stochastic model (1.2) for the variance is related to the square-root process of Feller (1951) and Cox, Ingersoll and Ross (1985). For the square-root process (1.2) the variance is always positive and if 2κθ > σ 2 then it cannot reach zero. Note that the deterministic part of proces...

Binomial Term Structure Models

T he term structure models discussed in our previous article (“Term Structure of Interest Rates,” MiER Vol. 7, No. 3) such as the [Vasicek 1978] or the [CoxIngersoll-Ross 1985] model may not match the current term structure. The Black-Derman-Toy (BDT) and BlackKarasinksi models discussed in this article are important examples of models in which the current term structure can always be replicated.

Uniform approximation of the Cox-Ingersoll-Ross process

The Doss-Sussmann (DS) approach is used for uniform simulation of the CoxIngersoll-Ross (CIR) process. The DS formalism allows to express trajectories of the CIR process through solutions of some ordinary differential equation (ODE) depending on realizations of a Wiener process involved. By simulating the first-passage times of the increments of the Wiener process to the boundary of an interval...

A time inhomogenous Cox-Ingersoll-Ross diffusion with jumps

We consider a time inhomogeneous Cox-Ingersoll-Ross diffusion with positive jumps. We exploit a branching property to prove existence of a unique strong solution under a restrictive condition on the jump measure. We give Laplace transforms for the transition probabilities, with an interpretation in terms of limits of mixtures over Gamma laws.
